Horst Ziegler is the owner and managing director of HZ Angel Investments.

He has been active in the IT branch for around 33 years, 15 of which as an entrepreneur. After his degree in Computer Science in Karlsruhe, he was involved in the development of technical/scientific software in the field of “Finite Elements” before he joined SAP AG in 1979. He was responsible for various departments there for 15 years, first in the base software development for SAP R/2, then in the application development of the SAP RK Cost Accounting, and for the final 5 years as Chief Consultant for Controlling and Accounting.

In 1993, he founded OSS Consulting GmbH, a consulting company focused on SAP. The business developed successfully, employing over 100 people within 6 years. A merger with internationally active Plaut AG was carried out in 1999 as a part of the internationalisation strategy. He was initially active as the managing director in this new context, then later as chairman of the board for Plaut Deutschland AG.

In October 2001, he founded zetVisions AG to develop future-oriented software in the field of Business Intelligence and Investment Management. With this successful corporate strategy, the company was able to secure several well-known investors which furnished zetVisions with the necessary venture capital up to its market entry. Mr. Ziegler withdrew from operative affairs and his position as chairman of the board in April 2006 to establish a new generation in the top management of the company. He will will naturally remain closely connected with the company as one of the main investors in the future.
